Rover

When we as human beings look into the sky at night, we dream about the possibilities of space travel. Having the opportunity to explore the unknown is something that fascinates all of us. You just know that astronauts' lives have to be completely changed once they experience the glories of space firsthand. While most of us will never have the opportunity to be a part of the space program, we still have our imagination about what it would be like. Oh yeah, and we also have goofy little games. Rover is just another one of those games.

In this two-player game, your goal is to collect objects that will help scientific research to progress. You have to beat out your opponent by collecting more objects than them. There's also a second mode of gameplay that gives you a deathmatch style game. This obviously involves schooling the opponent with your particle gun before they school you with theirs. One of the nice things about this game is that it supports a computer opponent, or a human opponent over the Internet. It's nice to be able to play the game by yourself or with a friend. With that said, the game is very frustrating. The controls feel sloppy, and driving around the landscape of the planet will probably give you motion sickness. Rover is definitely not for everyone, but it may provide a few minutes of enjoyment.
